There’s no point in traveling far from home when some of the best ingredients can be found right outside your window.

Tohono Chul Garden Bistro is hosting “Grange Within Range” at 5:30 p.m., Friday, September 29. If you’re not familiar with Tohono Chul, the park encompasses 49 acres featuring a number of unique gardens and desert life. Some of the ingredients Garden Bistro uses are grown on the property.

Grange Within Range is the first of a three-part dinner series that highlights native and Sonoran flavors sourced within 100 miles.

Cocktail hour will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Grab a drink and appetizers before the big dinner kicks off at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $75 per person, and it’s always a good idea to snag them ahead of time to reserve your spot.

First Course

• Goat Cheese Tartlets
• Pistachios Garden Squash Ceviche Shooters
• Fennel
• Cherry Sausage Empanadas

‘Grange Within Range’ Dinner Menu

Second Course

• San Xavier Cholla Buds – cured egg yolk, shallot, smoked salt, and candied lemon peel

Third Course

• E & R Puerco Seco – blue corn huarche, pickled carrot and cassava, avocado

Fourth Course

• Adams Natural Meats Short Rib Bisonte – squash purée, buttermilk fennel “frites”, sprouts, and chiltepin oil

Fifth Course

• Garden Figs Piloncillo – zabaglione, puffed white wheat, vanilla mulato date sugar
