Tucson’s first Galaxy Theatres Luxury+ is hosting its grand opening on Thursday, November 1.

The space at 100 S. Houghton Rd. — previously a Bashas’ grocery store — features nine wall-to-wall screens. Guests can enjoy leather reclining chairs as well.

“We are thrilled to open our first Arizona location in Tucson,” Galaxy Theatres CEO Frank Rimkus said in a press release. “Galaxy Theatres is known for providing our guests with an exceptional time and friendly service in a comfortable environment. We’ve created a state-of-the-art theater where people can come to relax, enjoy their favorite movies, and create wonderful memories.”

Food options include standard concessions such as popcorn, nachos, and pretzels along with popular fare unconventional for movie theaters such as pizza, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, and White Castle sliders.

Local offerings include chips and salsa from Mouth of the South Salsa and beers from Sentinel Peak Brewing Company and Dragoon Brewing Company.

Galaxy Theatres Luxury+ is located at 100 S. Houghton Rd. For more information, visit galaxytheatres.com.
