“Maru Japanese Noodle Shop” to Open on Speedway & Silverbell, Now Hiring

The restaurant is also hiring for all positions.

West Tucson will soon have a ramen joint to call its own.

Maru Japanese Noodle Shop announced plans to open in January 2019 at 1370 N. Silverbell Rd. Ste. 180, which previously housed San Carlos Grill.

While we haven’t been able to reach a representative of Maru directly for an interview, we found the following information from their website:

“MARU Japanese Noodle Shop was produced by Chef Takayuki Takagi and Chef Yoshimi Tashima

We want to introduce more Japanese Food Culture Not just Ramen and Sushi in Tucson with focus on Noodles & very popular food currently in Japan.

We are located in the West Side near Pima College West Campus on Speedway & Silverbell.

Stating from the popular Ramen with Maru original Umami broth.

Don’t miss other authentic Japanese Food also.”

Tashimi is the owner-executive chef at Yoshimatsu, while Takagi is a head chef at Yoshimatsu.

Tentative operating hours listed on the website are 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. daily.
