If tea and pastries are too dainty for you in the morning, then consider the full English breakfast.
Individual components from the massive plate of food vary from region to region, but it all serves the same purpose as a hearty meal.
At Ten55 Brewing and Sausage House, the English Breakfast ($12) takes a mostly traditional route with two fried eggs, Belgian fries, tomato, mushrooms, beans, boudin blanc, and toast.
While the conventional English breakfast features blood pudding, this interpretation features local Forbes Meat Company Cajun-inspired boudin blanc. This sausage doesn’t use blood but instead features a blend of pork shoulder, pork liver, rice, onion, and Cajun seasonings.
To accent the English aspect of the dish, grab a bottle of HP Sauce. The brown sauce, popular in England, is used in a manner similar to ketchup but has a vinegar sharpness and slight fruitiness similar to A.1. Sauce.
Ten55 Brewing and Sausage House is located at 110 E. Congress St. For more information, visit 1055brewing.com.
