Cafe Botanica’s Farm to Fork dinner highlights “Modern Food Heroes in the Sonoran Desert”

Experience local flavors and beautiful views.

Cafe Botanica is serving up the next Farm to Fork Summer Feast series, “Modern Food Heroes in the Sonoran Desert” from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 15.

Aside from the soothing sound of chattering birds and the sweet aroma of blooming flowers, the feast is inspired by local farms and vineyards — highlighting what is farmed and cultivated in the Sonoran Desert.

This time around, guests will be joined by Erik Stanford of Pivot Produce. Stanford will be speaking about how he brings different farmers and food producers together in the region, which then gets that local food into local restaurants and businesses.

In addition, Kim Asmundson of Deep Sky Vineyard, will be making her way around to talk about growing grapes and making wine in the desert — a task many think is impossible in the Arizona heat.

Tickets are $75 per person and you can make a reservation by calling (520) 445-5394.

If you can’t make it this time around, be sure to plan for the following date:
  • Thursday, September 19 from 6 – 8 p.m.
