Here’s to a business that’s been helping the community for half of a century.
Mobile Meals of Southern Arizona is celebrating its 50th anniversary by collaborating with local restaurants from 5 – 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 17.
For a business that delivers up to 100,000 meals every year, you can bet they’ve prepared to deliver an awesome event that not only supports them but gives back to the Tucson culinary community, too.
Multiple local restaurants will be serving up fixed menus on the day of, which will be available for dine-in, pickup, or delivery by a “fabulous Mobile Meals volunteer.”
So far, Feast, Renee’s Organic Oven, Chef Chic, Fork U BBQ, and Casa Molina Del Norte have announced their participation in the event, and more restaurants, and each of their menus, are expected to be revealed soon. Tickets are $50 once they become available and you’ll have to stay tuned for more updates as we creep closer to the celebration.
Meanwhile, here’s some advice from Mobile Meals of Southern Arizona:
“One great idea is to host a dinner party and let us bring the food to you…no cooking and no dishes.”
Mobile Meals has been delivering meals in Tucson, Green Valley, and Sahuarita since 1970, all while making sure that the “health, dignity, and independence of elderly and disabled adults” is supported.
