As of late, Tucson’s culinary community has been bustlin’ with new restaurants, giving locals additional opportunities to cure their cravings.

Now there’s another spot entering the ring of tasty options. Buena Vida recently opened its doors at 919 N. Stone Ave., #1104, which is located in the same parking lot of the Sahara Apartments.

Buena Vida has been open the past few weeks, serving up its tortas, Sonoran hot dogs, burritos, Frida Salads, and more for dine-in, curbside pickup, and delivery.

Next up, the restaurant is hosting a grand opening celebration on Sunday, August 29 because every restaurant — much like a luchador — deserves a flashy entrance with big lights, music, and Tucson Tortas, which comes with refried beans, your choice of meat, queso fresco, avocado, Oaxaca cheese, Vida Sauce, and a side of seasoned fries.

In one corner, you’ve got their Mexican cuisine waiting to piledrive your hunger and toss it out of the ring, and in the other corner awaits actual Lucha Libre wrestlers from Rockstar Wrestling Alliance, music from DJ Snake, and a car show by Leyva Rides.

It’s been said that the Lucha Fries, which come equipped with seasoned crinkle-cut fries, shredded cheese, your choice of meat, pico de gallo, queso fresco, and Vida Sauce, pair well with aerial maneuvers and speedy, acrobatic combos.
