“Eat This” is your source for some of the tastiest local dishes in town.
Beaut Burger’s new special, the Banh V, has been so well received they’re adding it to the permanent menu!
The plant-based eatery, which recently celebrated its fifth anniversary at the MSA Annex, is known for its unprocessed approach to classic fare, starting with its signature house-made patty and bun. Over the years they’ve added more whole food items, such as Flash-Fried Green Beans and the popular Fooled Pork, made with shredded jackfruit.
Banh V came to life as a collaboration between kitchen manager Daniel Montijo and local purveyor Desert Pearl Mushrooms. Based on the Vietnamese roll, but with blue oyster mushrooms in place of the meats, the end result is a delicious and fresh compliment to the existing menu.
As a bonus, Beaut is also adding its summer Oreo Shake to the menu as well!
“We have a pretty extensive offering as it is, and our workspace is pretty tiny, being in a shipping container; ergo, we’re only growing the menu since these are beloved as the staples,” said Ari Shapiro, partner at Beaut Burger.
BANH V is made with Local blue oyster mushrooms, sriracha mayo, hoisin, cucumber, jalapeño, cilantro, pickled carrot, and radish sprouts, served on a traditional baguette.
Beaut Burger is located at 267 S. Avenida del Convento. For more information, visit beautburgerhome.com. Beaut Burger is also a Tucson Foodie Restaurant Partner.
