Taqueria Pico de Gallo Reopens on South Sixth Avenue

October 31, 2023
By Matt Sterner

In December 2022, someone who shouldn’t have been behind the wheel drove their vehicle into the entrance of Taqueria Pico de Gallo, destroying many things in the process — gas lines, power lines, appliances, the seating area, and more.

Luckily, no one was inside the restaurant at the time of the crash.

It’s been nearly a year since we’ve been able to get our grub on with their authentic Sonoran fare, but the wait is finally over. The restaurant has risen from the rubble, reopening its doors to the public with a redesigned dining room.

The family of Taqueria Pico de Gallo shared the following on social media, alerting folks to come on in:

“Finally, the day has come. We are so excited for you guys to see the brand-new taqueria. Thank you to every single one of our customers who have supported us through our ups and downs. We would have not been here without our amazing community.”
