Tucson is home to at least 20 breweries and even more local taprooms serving up their crafty beverages. In other words, you’ve got plenty to choose from in different areas of town, and FireTruck Brewing Company has been dishing out the goods at its midtown location for nearly 10 years.

“Honestly, it was a little idea — kind of a hobby,” said Taylor Carter, CEO of FireTruck Brewing Company. “We opened up our actual first brick-and-mortar location in January of 2014, and we’ve been off and running since then.”

The brewery was known as Sentinel Peak Brewing Company for a few years in the beginning. Every once in a while, Sentinel Peak Brewing Company pint glasses still make appearances in random taprooms around town. In 2020, FireTruck Brewing Company eventually came to be — axe-shaped tap handles and all.

10th Anniversary Party

Starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, FireTruck Brewing is offering a few specials throughout the day to celebrate 10 years in Tucson.

There’s a theme, too — the number 10, of course. The brewery will have two pints of beer for $10 all day, $10 wing specials, and unveiling a brand-new anniversary beer, The Ten, which is a tangerine wheat beer.

“We try to make everything from scratch,” Carter added. “We make all of our own sauces by hand and we really try to pride ourselves on being as ‘scratchy’ as we possibly can.”

You can find these deals at the original FireTruck Brewing location only — 4746 E. Grant Rd.

FireTruck Brewing Company has three locations: 4746 E. Grant Rd., 9155 E. Tanque Verde Rd. #177, and 9630 N. Oracle Rd. #110. For more information, visit firetruckbrewing.com and keep up with the latest on the event by following FireTruck Brewing on Facebook.
