From 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, the Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance (SAACA) is hosting the Cruise, BBQ & Blues car show at the Oro Valley Marketplace, 12155 N. Oracle Rd.

Not only will the cars be fueled up, but so will event-goers. Five vendors have already been confirmed for the event. The food vendors for the event so far are, Dante’s Fire, Good Eats Catering, Greater Faith Word Church Intl., Gus’s Gyros, and Mr. Ice Guy.

SAACA’s car show will feature 30 different award categories for the cars on display. Award categories such as best in show, best interior, best paint job, and even a people’s choice category will be judged. Award winners will receive hand-made trophies from the local artist, John Benedict.

According to SAACA’s event page, “Judging will be done by a team made up of Southern Arizona Chapter of NCRS (National Corvette Restorers Society) representatives and Cruise, BBQ & Blues committee members.”

The live music will be performed by local acts; Znora, Miss Olivia & The Interlopers, and the Porch Rockers. This specific selection of Arizona blues bands was intended to show the growth of the genre over the course of generations.

In addition to all of the barbecue, the classic cars, and live musical performances, there will be more than 15 exhibitors including Beads of Courage, the Hotrods for Hunger food bank raffle, and the Arizona Winery Tours.

Get Your Tickets!

SAACA’s fun event doubles as a fundraiser for the organization’s community outreach programs across the state of Arizona, with all proceeds going back into the outreach programs.

Admission tickets will be available at the event and are $5 per person. For military members and veterans, tickets are $1, and for children ages 10 or younger, tickets are free.

The event is taking place at the Oro Valley Marketplace, 12155 N. Oracle Rd. For more information on the car show, the food vendors, how to get involved with SAACA, and more, visit saaca.org.
