More Maynards news? You betcha! Chef Roderick LeDesma is hosting his first-ever wine dinner in his new role at Maynards, 400 N. Toole Ave.
This al fresco, five-course dining experience — happening at 6 p.m. on Friday, November 8 — is crafted to celebrate the artistry of Arizona’s local wines and diverse terroir. Plus, with each course, you’ll get a sip into Arizona’s rich winemaking history, learning everything from grape-growing practices to the many ways local wineries pour into our economy and culture.
Though I absolutely recommend making day trips to Arizona’s various viticultural areas, why not bring the wine to you? During this dinner, you’ll experience thoughtfully paired wine selections from Sonoita, Pearce, and Clarkdale — all in Arizona.
Lisa Wagenheim, co-owner of Sonoran Wines, and Arielle DeSoucey, wine specialist extraordinaire, will be on hand to answer all your pressing questions about Arizona wines and winemaking. Learn the ins and outs of Arizona’s terroir, grape varieties, and the passion poured into every bottle!
The dinner is $175 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuity. Tucson Foodie Insiders receive 10% off this dinner. Check the app for the special link and promo code. If you’re not an Insider, you can become one here.
