Wee-ooo, wee-ooo, wee-ooo! Wing alert, wing alert!
Even though I spent some time in the most populated city in the world — Tokyo, Japan — I still managed to explore Tucson’s incredible wing scene.
This swanky place in downtown Tucson has some of the most photogenic wings. TABU is a classy cocktail lounge but they also offer a full scratch kitchen.
Their fried Buffalo wings are now some of my favorite in town — they pair well with any of their fantastic cocktails. They’re a great addition to their already delicious menu and I can’t wait to visit again to try something new.
Keep up with the latest by following Tabu on Instagram.
This place is in Oro Valley, where I grew up. My parents still live there, and so of course, I must visit them once or twice a year.
Perks of visiting the parents: a wonderful Thai restaurant is in the vicinity.
Over the years, I’ve tasted their cashew chicken, Pad Thai, and more, which are all delicious. Now, I get to add their Gai Tod (chicken wings) to that list of awesomeness! These breaded and fried chicken wings are crispy, served on top of cabbage, and mixed with fried garlic and green onions. The sweet and spicy Thai sauce they’re tossed in had my nose running while still being sweet and full of flavor.

This completes my monthly Wing Wednesday, stay tuned for next month’s installment.
