Charro Steak will open a second location this August in the Casas Adobes Plaza at at 7109 N. Oracle Rd. The new spot will feature the same mesquite-grilled steaks, sustainable seafood, and Sonoran-inspired menu that have defined the downtown restaurant since 2016.
Founded by Ray Flores and part of the Si Charro! family of restaurants, Charro Steak emphasizes all-natural, locally sourced ingredients and hormone-free beef butchered in-house.
Executive Chef Gary Hickey, who has led the original downtown kitchen, will also oversee the new location.
“I am so excited to bring the amazing food we have been downtown to the north side of Tucson and surrounding communities like Oro Valley and Marana,” Hickey said.
Charro Steak North will host job fairs from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on July 8, 9, 11, and 12. The team is hiring for all positions, including front of house and kitchen roles.
In celebration of the summer and the restaurant’s expansion, Si Charro! is also hosting its popular annual “Xmas in July” promotion. Through July 22, customers can pre-order a $100 gift card online at Si Charro’s official site and receive an additional $100 card for free.
The deal will also be available in person on July 24 and 25 at participating locations, including Charro Steak & Del Rey. Beginning July 26, the Xmas in July cards are valid at most Si Charro! locations, including Charro Chico and Pub 1922, though some restrictions apply.
“Xmas in July is our way to thank our local customers for their year ‘round support and what better way to do it than during the hot summer as a reward for braving the summer heat,” Flores said.
