A Menu Beyond What You’re Used to at Boca

BOCA by Chef Maria Mazon is best known for gourmet Mexican tacos and original salsas made fresh everyday in the heart of Tucson. This menu goes beyond that and thoughtfully infuses elements and bold, fresh flavors:

  • Vegetable carpaccio with requesón cheese and herb-infused oil
  • Crema de frijol topped with infused crema and tortilla strips
  • Masa and crab fritter with an infused cream
  • Ground pork chile relleno with an infused tomato sauce
  • Flan de plátano with infused caramel

Each course is curated to enhance the meal and elevate the evening. Non-alcoholic mocktails will be served throughout the evening.

Chef Maria Mazon

Chef Maria Mazon was born in Tucson, grew up in Navajoa, Sonora, then returned to Tucson at age 15.

Mazon’s career in the food industry actually began in the front of the house as a server at Papagayo Mexican Restaurant and Cantina. After stumbling into Papagayo’s kitchen and discovering a passion for cooking, she opened a catering company with no formal culinary training before opening BOCA Tacos y Tequila in 2010.

What to Expect

The Stoney Summer Supper Series is a four-months long summer infused dining adventure, featuring one chef a month and their chosen five-course menu. Now in its fifth run, the program has hosted such chefs as Wendy Garcia and Riley Chandler. Each dinner is unique, blending the chef’s vision with a new element- cannabis. This dinner is sponsored by Prime Leaf Dispensary, so expect to try their offerings throughout the evening. Prime Leaf will be on deck to make sure the vibes are indeed… high.

Tickets to the event include the five-course dinner, paired mocktails, opportunities to try products from Prime Leaf Dispensary, and a special goody bag to take home.
