If you fall within the realm of, “there’s no such thing as too much garlic,” then the Sizzling Garlic Noodles at Noodleholics will tickle your fancy.

The bowl starts with a base of fresh house-made wheat noodles (rice noodles are also available). They ladle on a couple of sauces, then pile on sliced scallions, a mound of chopped fresh garlic, and a generous pinch of spicy chili flakes. Lastly, they ladle on some sizzling hot oil to lightly toast and bring out the aroma of the chili and garlic.

While the surface garlic is lightly tamed from the heat, the pile underneath remains raw and potent. Stir everything together right before eating and dig in with bites of cooling bok choy every now and then.

Although the dish portion is satiating as is, feel free to add-on proteins like tofu to keep it vegan, or crispy pork belly for another layer of crunch and satisfying richness.

Noodleholics is located at 3502 E. Grant Rd., 7850 N. Oracle Rd., and 6310 E. Tanque Verde Rd. For more information, visit noodleholics.com.
