A New Chapter for a Familiar Space

Butcher shop Butchers Pantry opened on Nov. 24, 2025 at 3840 W. Ina Rd., Suite 100. The business occupies in the 1,700-square-foot space which previously held Davison Meats. The team continues to refresh the interior while serving customers daily.

Husband-and-Wife Team Leads the Concept

Butchers Pantry owners Sarah English and Christian English share a vision centered on hospitality, craftsmanship, and neighborhood connection, Sarah said.

Christian brings more than 25 years of culinary experience, including includes professional kitchens and high-end steakhouses. That experience guides the shop’s focus on quality and preparation.

Sarah oversees operations, branding, and community engagement. Together, the pair aims to create a welcoming local butcher shop with a modern approach.

More Than a Traditional Butcher Shop

“Butchers Pantry reflects our goal of being more than a traditional butcher shop,” Sarah said, “a place where customers can find high-quality meats alongside thoughtfully curated pantry items and prepared foods that make cooking at home easier and more enjoyable.”

The interior also reflects the couple’s approach to hospitality.

“We wanted the space to feel warm, inviting, and modern while still honoring the craftsmanship of a classic butcher shop,” Sarah said. “The focus was on clean design, functionality, and a welcoming neighborhood vibe.”

A Neighborhood-First Identity

While the location previously housed Davison Meats, Butchers Pantry represents a new direction, Sarah said. The concept emphasizes chef-driven preparation, local sourcing, and house-made items. The team designed the menu and atmosphere with Tucson in mind, balancing elevated quality with accessibility. The goal centers on community connection and trust.

Focus on Take-Home Foods and Pop-Up Sandwiches

Butchers Pantry focuses primarily on take-home items. The shop does not offer permanent dine-in seating or a patio. However, limited seating appears during sandwich pop-up events.

The sandwich pop-ups began as a way to introduce the kitchen’s culinary style. Due to strong community response, the team plans to continue hosting them regularly. The long-term goal includes a permanent sandwich menu.

Local Sourcing and Signature Items

Local sourcing drives the menu. Butchers Pantry works with K4 Ranch for locally sourced beef. The shop also partners with Mary’s Chickens and Beeler’s Pure Pork.

Signature offerings include locally sourced meats, house-made sourdough bread, prepared sides, compound butters, and chef-crafted sandwiches during pop-ups. Curated pantry goods round out the selection.
