The Century Room has a new ‘Small Bites’ menu to go with all that jazz

After celebrating its first anniversary in February, Tucson’s downtown jazz club, The Century Room, has been jammin’ in March with a full roster of performances.

“One year ago we started with live music two nights a week and our Friday and Saturday night concert series remain a trademark of the club,” said Arthur Vint, Century Room’s General Manager and Artistic Director.

This includes the newly formed 17-piece CRJO every Monday night, lots of great signature concerts featuring national artists, and a delicious new food menu.

“Responding to demand, we have now expanded to being open seven nights! Mondays are reserved for the CRJO, Tuesdays are for our acoustic and ambient series, Wednesdays are for the Mysterious Babies Traditional Jazz Band, Thursdays are hosted by Pete Swan and Late Night, Fridays continue to be reserved for our rotating concert series followed by the Late-Night Lounge, Saturdays feature solo pianists and Late-Night bands, and Sundays are for the Century Jazz Jam hosted by Max Goldschmid,” said Vint.

“Keep an eye out for more Sunday matinees as well! We’re consistently presenting 10 to 12 events a week — so much great music happening down here!”

The Century Room food menu is available until 9 p.m. on weeknights and 10 p.m. on weekends, featuring assorted charcuterie, grilled veggies, and small bites. Take a gander at the new menu unique-to-Century-Room small bites menu below.

Century Room Small Bites Menu 

served all night
  • Marinated Olives ($6) – marinated black & green olives seasoned with garlic, rosemary, and bay leaf
  • Mixed Nuts ($6) – almonds, cashews, pistachios, peanuts
  • Dried Fruit ($6) – pineapple, papaya, mango, coconut, apricot, ginger, cranberry, raisin
  • Chocolate Mezcal Cake ($9) – housemade mezcal-infused flourless cake
Boards (served until 9 p.m. weeknights, 10 p.m. weekends)
  • Barrio Heartbreaker ($18) – Barrio Bread baguette, warm brie, orange marmalade, roasted garlic, pickled butternut squash, marinated artichokes, sliced apple, pesto, infused oil and vinegar, herb butter
  • Hummus Platter ($19) – mezcal and prickly pear hummus, cucumbers, tomatillo and cherry tomato relish, charred carrot and corn salsa, blackened feta, marinated feta, marinated wild mushrooms, pita bread
  • Caprese Antipasto ($20) – heirloom tomatoes stacked with mozzarella and basil topped with a mezcal vinaigrette and balsamic pearls, bowtie pesto pasta salad, mixed olives, roasted zucchini, grilled and chilled asparagus and red bell pepper, feta garlic dressing
  • Meat and Cheese ($24) – hard salami, hot capicola, prosciutto, manchego, danish fontina, mix nuts, mix olives, pickled butternut squash, grapes, pickles, mezcal apple whole grain mustard, assorted crackers

You’ve got to wash all of that down with something, right? Luckily, there is plenty to order from the cocktail menu and even a collection of non-alcoholic drinks to savor throughout the performances.

The Century Room opens every night at 6 p.m. and most shows start at 7 p.m., with late-night sets starting at 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Advanced tickets are recommended for all concerts and Sunday jams are always free.
