After being closed for months, and just in time for a beer-themed holiday, Voltron Brewing is reopening its downtown taproom on Friday, March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day).
The brewing site at 330 S. Toole Ave. #200, which is a combination of Borderlands Brewing Company and FireTruck Brewing Company, shared the news on Instagram. They even included a beer special to get folks amped up about the reopening.
“Come by between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. for $1 off all draft beers and St. Patty’s day fun.”
So, much like the animated television series name “Voltron,” you can think of Borderlands Brewing and FireTruck Brewing as a team of space explorers piloting a giant “Super Robot.” In other words, the two brew houses have been sharing the space since early 2020 — brewing their beer and dishing out kegs and cans for the masses.
It’s the perfect spot to grab a beer from either of the two breweries.
Beginning on Friday, March 17, the taproom will be open from 4 – 9 p.m. on Monday – Thursday, 4 – 10 p.m. on Friday, noon – 10 p.m. on Saturday, and noon – 6 p.m. on Sunday.
That’s seven days of beer. It’s rather heroic if you think about it: Borderlands Brewing and FireTruck Brewing working together to form the legendary Voltron, using it to defeat the Galra Empire (AKA your thirst).
Voltron Brewing is located at 330 S. Toole Ave. #200. For more information, follow Voltron Brewing on Instagram.
