Interfaith Community Services launches its annual Fall Food Drive on October 1, calling on Tucson residents to help stock local food banks. The drive continues through October 31, providing critical support for individuals and families in need during the holiday season.
This year, ICS offers more public collection sites than ever before:
ICS requests donations of both pantry staples and holiday foods. Shelf-stable items such as peanut butter, canned meats, pasta, and canned vegetables help fill weekly food boxes. Seasonal items like stuffing mix, canned pumpkin, cranberry sauce, and potatoes allow families to celebrate with dignity and tradition.
Alongside food donations, ICS also collects financial contributions at icstucson.org/donate. Funds go toward purchasing holiday meal essentials for local families. Groups including schools, faith communities, and workplaces are encouraged to organize team drives. ICS highlights group efforts on social media with the tag #ICSfallfood.
“For families living paycheck to paycheck, a simple trip to the grocery store can mean sacrificing heat, rent, or transportation,” said Tom McKinney, CEO of ICS. “A food box from ICS not only relieves financial pressure, it also brings dignity, tradition, and hope to the table”.
