Tucson’s mixology stars will battle for bragging rights at the fifth annual Bartender Showdown from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, October 18 at the Tucson Museum of Art.
“There are so many ways Tucson showcases its art,” said Mark A. Vierthaler, director of operations for Whiskey Del Bac. “The Bartender Showdown is an amazing way for us to partner with one of our longest running community partners, while showcasing the artistry of our community’s bartenders and mixologists.”
Whiskey Del Bac and TMA launched the competition to highlight the artistry of local bartenders. Contestants will craft signature drinks using Whiskey Del Bac American single malt whiskey. Tucson Foodie’s community director, Addie Ibarra, will join the lineup of competitors.

Attendees will sample cocktails and vote for their favorites. The bartender with the most votes wins a cash prize.
For the first time, the showdown will feature an all-woman judges panel: Abbey Fife, Olivia Reardon, and Janet Balderas. They will present Judge’s Choice awards. Attendees will determine the People’s Choice winner.
Iconic Cocktail Co. of Phoenix will host a nonalcoholic mixer bar to include all guests. Live music will come from Lenguas Largas. Food trucks include Muncheez, El Golden Taco, Parkie Sandwich, and Ensenada Street Food.
The event will include live painting and a trunk show by Art by E (Eric Osborne). Ticket sales help fund the Tucson Museum of Art’s programs.
General admission costs $40. TMA members pay a discounted $35. Admission is limited to guests age 21 or older; ID required for entry.
