Delete Your Account

How to permanently delete your Tucson Foodie account and the personal information attached to it — from inside the app, on the web, or by email.

Last updated: August 2026

This page explains how to permanently delete your Tucson Foodie account — used by the Tucson Foodie app for iOS and Android and by tucsonfoodie.com — along with the personal information attached to it.

You do not need to install the app to request deletion.

Delete from inside the app

  1. Open the Tucson Foodie app.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Read the summary, type DELETE to confirm, then confirm once more.

Your account is deleted straight away. There is no waiting period and no way to undo it.

Delete on the web

If you are signed in on tucsonfoodie.com, open your account settings and use Delete account.

If you cannot sign in

Email info@tucsonfoodie.com from the email address on your account, with the subject Account deletion request. Tell us the email address the account uses. We may need to confirm you own that address before we can act on the request. We will complete verified requests within 30 days.

What happens to your membership

If you have a paid membership, deleting your account cancels it.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. There is no refund for that period, and you lose access to the app and to member perks as soon as the account is deleted.

If we cannot cancel your subscription for any reason, the deletion stops and nothing is deleted. You will never be left with a subscription you no longer have an account to cancel.

What is deleted

Deleted immediately and permanently, with no recovery window:

  • Your profile — name, photo and bio
  • Your login credentials and sign-in identities
  • Your saved spots, private notes and follows
  • Your dish and event submissions, including their photos (see the exception below)
  • Your push-notification registrations
  • Your website login records and active sessions

What is kept, and for how long

  • Anonymized records, kept indefinitely. Event attendance, gift records and perk-redemption records are kept as business records with your identity removed from them. They can no longer be connected to you.
  • Content of yours that we published. If you submitted a dish and we approved and published it, that dish and its photo remain part of the Tucson Foodie guide. It is no longer attributed to your account.
  • Payment and invoice records. Held by us and by our payment processor, Stripe, for as long as tax and accounting rules require us to keep them.
  • Anything the law requires us to retain, for the period the law requires.

Chilaquiles bring together crispy tortilla chips, salsa, eggs, and cheese in one skillet. Tucson cooks have made the dish their own, and each restaurant adds a different twist. Some go heavy on red or green sauce, others split the two, and many top the plate with a fried or poached egg. From a downtown café to a Marana staple, here are the best spots in town to order chilaquiles.
