Privacy Policy

How Tucson Foodie collects, uses, and protects your information across tucsonfoodie.com, the Tucson Foodie app, and related services.

Last updated: July 2026

This privacy policy describes how Tucson Foodie, LLC ("Tucson Foodie," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use tucsonfoodie.com, the Tucson Foodie mobile app, and related services (together, the "Services").

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register for an account, subscribe to our newsletter, become a member of the Insiders Club, respond to a survey, fill out a form (including our contact form), submit content such as dish photos, or otherwise use the Services.

Information we collect may include your name, email address, phone number, and — if you become a paying member — payment information processed by our payment provider. We also collect information about how you use the Services, such as pages viewed, features used, and content you save or interact with.

What do we use your information for?

  • To operate the Services and your account, including memberships and member perks
  • To personalize your experience and improve the Services
  • To improve customer service and respond to your requests and support needs
  • To send newsletters and other communications you have signed up for
  • To administer contests, promotions, surveys, or other site features

The email address you provide may be used to send you information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.

Service providers we use

We work with trusted third-party service providers to operate the Services. These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their functions and are not permitted to use it for other purposes:

  • Supabase — account authentication and application data hosting
  • Stripe — payment processing for memberships and purchases. We do not store your full card details; payment information is handled by Stripe under their privacy policy (https://stripe.com/privacy)
  • Mailchimp — newsletter delivery and subscriber management
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (e.g., sign-in links, receipts, account notifications)
  • Google Analytics — website usage analytics that help us understand, in aggregate, how the Services are used
  • Vercel — website hosting

Advertising

This Site is affiliated with CMI Marketing, Inc., d/b/a Raptive ("Raptive") for the purposes of placing advertising on the Site, and Raptive will collect and use certain data for advertising purposes. To learn more about Raptive's data usage, visit: https://raptive.com/creator-advertising-privacy-statement/

We may also serve advertising through Google Ad Manager. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com).

Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Do we use cookies?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your device through your web browser (if you allow) that enable the site's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

We use cookies and similar technologies (including local storage) to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, compile aggregate data about site traffic and interaction, and support the advertising described above. For more detail, see our Cookie Policy.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with outside parties for their own marketing except when you ask us to, as described below.

Restaurant newsletter opt-in. When you redeem a member voucher at a participating restaurant, you may check a box to subscribe to that restaurant's email list. If you check it, we share your email address with that specific restaurant so it can add you to its newsletter. This happens only when you opt in, and your email is shared only with the restaurant where you redeemed — not with any other business. Once shared, the restaurant's use of your email is governed by its own privacy practices, and you can unsubscribe from its newsletter through that restaurant.

Participating businesses. When you redeem a member perk, the participating business receives basic information about that redemption — such as the name on the redemption, the date, and the perk redeemed — so it can honor the perk and understand how the program is performing. Your email address is not included unless you opt in as described above.

This also does not include the trusted service providers described above who assist us in operating the Services, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on the Services. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you opt in to receive text messages from Tucson Foodie (for example, at an event or through a form on our site), your mobile phone number and any information you provide will be handled in accordance with this privacy policy. We do not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes without your consent. See our Terms of Service for the full SMS program terms, including how to opt out.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act); we do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products, and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.

California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)

Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

How do we protect your information?

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information:

  • Encryption in transit. Connections to the Services are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
  • Encryption at rest. Your account data is stored with established cloud infrastructure providers (Supabase and Vercel) that encrypt stored data at rest.
  • Access controls. Access to personal information is limited to staff who need it to operate the Services, enforced through role-based permissions and database-level access rules.
  • Payment security. We never store your full card details. Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in each email. You can stop SMS messages by replying STOP. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting us at the address below.

Online privacy policy only

This online privacy policy applies only to information collected through the Services and not to information collected offline.

Your consent

By using the Services, you consent to this privacy policy.

Changes to our privacy policy

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page.
