Easy Indian Cooking - Chicken Tikka Masala

Acerca de

Join Soumya for a live cooking demo built around one of India’s most beloved dishes — Chicken Tikka Masala. But forget the store-bought spice packets and the hour-long simmer. This is the version her mom made smarter: a deeply aromatic spice blend built from scratch, and a one-bowl method that comes together almost entirely in the Instant Pot.

Watch the whole dish come to life right in front of you — from grinding the spice mix to the final simmer — while learning everything that makes tikka masala tick. You’ll get a deep dive into the spices themselves: what each one does, how to adjust heat and depth to your taste, what to swap when you’re out of something, and how to make it richer, lighter, smokier, or milder without losing the soul of the dish.

No guesswork, no mystery. Just a front-row seat to real Indian home cooking, with all the tips and context that cookbooks leave out, followed by Q&A, light dinner tasting, with some sides along with freshly prepared Chicken tikka masala!

@Jundynasty has served Sichuan dishes on Grant Road for 13 years.🌶️

General manager Jacob Yeung credits one idea above all: “We’ve grown since then, but the key has always been consistency.”

Stop in for Flaming Chili Oil, Walnut Shrimp, chow fun, or sautéed green beans finished with Sichuan peppercorns. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.

@Lovinspoonfulstucson is closing after more than 20 years in Tucson. Its final day of service runs on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Customers can stop in between now and Saturday for one last meal. The team plans to sell down its inventory, though it hopes to have favorite dishes available. Regular hours remain 9am-3pm through the final day.

“Running this kitchen has been a labor of love, but the numbers just aren’t adding up anymore, and as parents, we have to make the hard choice to step back and take care of what matters most at home.”
