May 23, 20251 min read

Start your engines and your Sunday right.

On the fourth Sunday of each month, chef David Solorzano, Solo Moto Co., and Agustín Kitchen are teaming up for Fast Cars and Breakfast, a morning meet-up for car lovers and brunch seekers.

From 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, May 25, expect a rotating lineup of supercars, classics, and rare finds parked just steps away from your first cup of coffee.

Agustín Kitchen will serve its full morning menu alongside a special one-off lineup just for the event.

Here’s the menu for Sunday, May 25:

Swing by for breakfast, espresso, or a pastry and stick around to admire the cars.

Spectators can use the dirt lots in front of and next to the Mercado. The Monier lot is reserved for show vehicles.

Free to attend, and no registration required — just roll up.

Agustin Kitchen is located at 100 S. Avenida del Convento #150. For more information, visit agustinkitchen.com. Keep up with the latest by following Solo Moto Co. on Instagram.

More about Matt

At a very young age, Matt Sterner was gifted with the artistic ability to masterfully roll a burrito to the highest of standards, but the wrapped medley of delicious innards wasn’t his first love. Matt’s first true love was a combination of reading, writing, and creating. He grew up reading comics, the ingredients list of his shampoo and conditioner bottles, choose-your-own-adventure books, and the Scrabble dictionary — something he found useful when challenging his grandmother to a game.

He attended college at New Mexico State University and graduated with a degree in Digital Filmmaking. One of his favorite classes was screenwriting because he became responsible for the story’s birth before it came to life on-screen. After school, Matt took on numerous positions at a local television station in Tucson. From dealing out stories about heartbreak to producing “fluffier” content for a lifestyle broadcast, he learned what it takes to adapt to the many emotions the world of media can stir. Since 2017, Matt has dabbled in the culinary world of Tucson as well as San Diego, California from time to time.

If you’re in the mood for strange stories, head over to his pride and joy, wonkytimes.com. And in case you’re curious — yes, after all of this time, he still manages to roll a killer burrito.

@Jundynasty has served Sichuan dishes on Grant Road for 13 years.🌶️

General manager Jacob Yeung credits one idea above all: “We’ve grown since then, but the key has always been consistency.”

Stop in for Flaming Chili Oil, Walnut Shrimp, chow fun, or sautéed green beans finished with Sichuan peppercorns. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.

@Lovinspoonfulstucson is closing after more than 20 years in Tucson. Its final day of service runs on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Customers can stop in between now and Saturday for one last meal. The team plans to sell down its inventory, though it hopes to have favorite dishes available. Regular hours remain 9am-3pm through the final day.

“Running this kitchen has been a labor of love, but the numbers just aren’t adding up anymore, and as parents, we have to make the hard choice to step back and take care of what matters most at home.”
