Playground Bar & Lounge Launches New Menus

Sep 5, 20142 min read

Downtown Tucson’s Playground Bar & Lounge has launched two new menus to appeal to downtown’s hungry late-night crowd.

Longtime fans of HUB’s sister bar on the corner will have something new to celebrate with the 2014 NFL and U of A season as the three-year-old multi-level bar on Congress Street launches two new menus: a full new dinner menu and a Game-Time Menu.

Not that business is hurting.

Said Playground and Hub Restaurant & Creamery Director of Operations Sandy Ford, “Walk-in traffic has never been better at Playground, and these are usually the slow months. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store.”

@Lovinspoonfulstucson is closing after more than 20 years in Tucson. Its final day of service runs on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Customers can stop in between now and Saturday for one last meal. The team plans to sell down its inventory, though it hopes to have favorite dishes available. Regular hours remain 9am-3pm through the final day.

“Running this kitchen has been a labor of love, but the numbers just aren’t adding up anymore, and as parents, we have to make the hard choice to step back and take care of what matters most at home.”
