After many months of speculation and tough decisions, The Shelter Cocktail Lounge is officially reopening its doors on Wednesday, April 28.
The 60’s retro lounge that’s been serving classic and modern cocktails for years closed its doors last year at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, and now, after sharing the news on Facebook, is ready to welcome everyone back inside.
The Shelter announced that dive bar enthusiasts and longtime fans can expect some new employees, new drink menus, and drink specials, of course.
“We’re ready to show you a great time in a responsible atmosphere.”
Like before, the bar’s hours of operation will be 3 p.m. – 2 a.m. daily, and in case you missed it, they’ve now got a new sign out near the street — if the bright neon lights aren’t enough to get you to stop by.
If you’ve never stepped foot inside The Shelter, it’s like traveling back in time to another era. Much like the JFK decor and Cold War memorabilia, the rest of the space provides a unique retro experience while serving great martinis and some great movies.
