Foothills restaurant Acacia is known for its sprawling, stellar view, but their summer events lineup should give you a few more reasons to stop in for an evening overlooking the city.

Here’s what’s happening:

  • The Second Annual Acacia Luau. Need a quick-fix getaway from the dry heat? On Sunday June 8th Chef Albert Hall turns his foothills restaurant into an oasis island paradise, complete with music, hula dancers, and – in true luau fashion – a whole roasted pig with all the fixings.
  • Father’s Day Dinner. This Father’s Day treat pops to a luxe dinner of all his favorite foods, like T-bone Steak, a super stuffed potato, and a rich, warm, dark chocolate brownie a la mode for dessert.
  • Dragoon Beer Dinner. Start the weekend early on Thursday, June 19th, with a Four-Course Beer Dinner, featuring summer brews from Tucson’s own Dragoon Brewing Co. $45 per person. Pairings look delish:
    • Saison Blue w/ “Moules frites” (Belgian bistro style Mussels with salted fries)
    • Daisy Berliner-Style Weisse w/ Spiced melon and pickled grapes with arugula and chevre
    • Unihopper Pale Ale w/ Trilogy of heritage sliders:
      • Buttermilk fried chicken, bootleg chik-fil-a sauce
      • Angus sirloin with jalapeno bacon and Pt Reyes blue
      • Pacific cod, onion ring, creamy cole slaw
    • Bourbon Barrel-Aged, The Dos Anniversary Russian Imperial Stout aged one year w/ “Mama’s Milkshake”
  • Summer Cooking Classes.Want to bring a little Acacia flare home with you? Summer Cooking Classes take place Saturdays from 11am to 2pm, and include recipes, lunch and cocktails. Here’s the lineup:
