Great Food Truck Race in Tucson Recap

September 3, 2014
By Adam Lehrman

It seems the Food Network people don’t mess around. Not that we had any doubts to begin with.

In their brief weekend passing through Tucson for the second stop in The Great Food Truck Race they managed to assemble a debatable, but solid top 10 list of restaurants. Debatable because, well, someone’s going to disagree.

It’s slightly confusing as to whether the list was intended to be Southwestern and Mexican cuisine only, or just a general list. If the former, they really missed the mark. In addition, it’s the first time I’ve heard of burgers referred to as a “Southwestern favorite”, but “A” for effort, guys, “A” for effort. As a mere list of restaurants to check out, it’s worthy of sharing.

Oh, and for more about what the food truck teams experienced, check out the full article, Go Southwestern and Beyond in Tucson — On the Road with The Great Food Truck Race.

Here’s their Top 10:

  1. Cafe Poca Cosa
  2. Zinburger
  3. Lindy’s
  4. CeeDee Jamaican Kitchen
  5. B Line
  6. The Dish
  7. El Guero Canelo
  8. Frankie’s Cheesesteaks
  9. Cup Cafe
  10. Taqueria Pico de Gallo
