I’m super-excited to announce that C.J. Hamm, former Noshing Around writer for the Tucson Weekly and creator of the Nine On The Line series has joined Tucson Foodie.

C.J. will bring Nine On The Line to Tucson Foodie (the first edition kicks off with Frankie Santos of Frankie’s Cheesesteaks), as well as be responsible for special features, and general food news.

“I’m looking forward to changing things up a bit and joining the Tucson Foodie team,” said Hamm. “I’ve been a big fan for a long time and look forward to expanding upon what I had covered previously.”

C.J. brings three years of food writing to the table. In addition, he’s a regular co-host on On The Menu… Live with Matt Russell, as well as numerous other local radio shows, and has established himself as a well-known personality in local food news.

“I’m thrilled to learn that C.J. has joined the Tucson Foodie team, said Matt Russell, host of On The Menu Live, and president of Russell Public Communications. “It’s really a perfect assignment for him, as his appetite for breaking local food and beverage news is insatiable, and his curiosity about the local culinary scene always translates to delicious content.”

Former Tucson Weekly Editor Dan Gibson said, “I hired C.J. at the Weekly because he was the most passionate person I could find about Tucson food. I knew he’d find somewhere to talk about restaurants, chefs and booze. I’m glad it’s a website I check all the time already.”

We’re happy to have you, C.J.
