For many, eating good sushi induces warm and fuzzy feelings of contentment and satisfaction. This May, RA Sushi is providing another reason to feel good about the delicious Japanese cuisine.
From Monday, May 25, through Sunday, May 31, RA Sushi at La Encantada will host its largest annual fundraiser, “Nicky’s Week”.
Now in its 11th year, the fundraiser benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. For the entire week, the restaurant will donate 100 percent of sales from select menu items to support St. Jude’s mission to save children worldwide.
Nicky’s Week was developed for St. Jude patient Nicholas “Nicky” Mailliard, a nephew of one of RA Sushi’s founders. Nicky lost a long battle with brain cancer at the age of 13. RA Sushi initiated the fundraiser to honor Nicky’s memory, and to raise awareness and funds for St. Jude.
Since launching Nicky’s Week at RA Sushi, they have raised more than $1.5 million for the hospital.
