Poppy Kitchen, the last standing Metzger restaurant, is now closed, according to a brief statement shared on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

The post, which went up on Friday, August 28, at 5:30pm, read as follows:

“Warm greetings,

Poppy Kitchen is currently closed. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience. Azul Restaurant is open and ready to welcome you inside the lobby of the Westin resort (520) 742-6000.”

This marks the third restaurant closure for Brian Metzger this year, after Jackson Tavern and Gio Taco closed their doors just as suddenly.

La Paloma was not able to provide any information on the closure or their future plans for the space.
