Whether by word of mouth, polarizing Yelp reviews, or you already found a spot amongst the crowds to try it for yourself, it’s likely you have heard about OBON Sushi + Bar + Ramen.
Downtown’s new sushi and ramen spot has transformed the former Gio Taco location into an Asian-inspired oasis, and it’s already a popular choice amongst the dinner and late-night crowds.
Starting today (which is a little later than originally planned and reported), OBON will begin serving lunch at 11am, a welcome announcement for the downtown workforce. The sushi bowls will be offered as a special, with the addition of lunchtime bento boxes.
“Dinner was our main focus while we got our feet wet,” saidOBON owner Brandon Katz. “The lunch menu is geared toward a traditional Japanese lunch composed of smaller bites. We are catering to the downtown business crowd that needs to be in and out in 30 minutes. That being said, we will have the full bar available for those that want to take a longer mid-day break.”
