It’s not often that we promote the addition of a single menu item, but when Falora rolls out a new pizza this decadent, it’s worthy of mention, and of course, they asked really nicely.
The Figaro is topped with black figs, French brie, walnuts, brussels sprouts, and balsamic by Alfonso. The hearty, rustic pizza is a classic Mediterranean combination, highlighted by pre-roasted brussels sprouts and the crunchy walnuts.
“One of our most popular pizzas, the Arrosto, mixes Medjool dates with feta cheese and yukon gold potatoes. Similarly, the Figaro has a really nice sweet-savory balance and people love it,” said Falora owner Ari Shapiro. “Black Mission figs bake up so well, and I just thought, wow, I’ve never heard of a pizza with brie on it before. True confession, I’m not a huge brie fan. But when you bake it, the taste really mellows out. Even the French will mellow at 700 degrees.”

Through the end of September, order the Figaro with any salad and you will be treated to a free bottle of Chianti red wine.
The Chianti special is inspired by Falora’s best kept secret, the vino and vinyl happy hour. Bring in an LP record to play between 4 and 5:30 and get a free bottle of Chianti to enjoy.
As for the name? Shapiro explains its Italian roots:
“The name was dying to be used, I’m a huge Mozart and classical music fan. Figaro was an Italian lyrical score, so it was too good to be true.”
If the whole deal sounds too good to be true, be sure to drop in to Falora before the end of September.
