The Tucson Museum of Art will host the annual CRUSH Wine, Food, and Art Gala Saturday, March 5. The event is the biggest live auction of both fine art and rare wine in Southern Arizona.

The event begins at 5pm. Arriving guests can take a peek at the art while also enjoying an hour of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The auction will showcase artwork by Lawrence W. Lee, Maria Martinez, Ed Mell, Howard Post, and many others.

At 6:30pm, guests will have the chance to bid on their favorite pieces. Dr. Martin Gammon, of Bonhams International Auctioneers and Appraisers, will be present to conduct the auction. Gammon works in Washington, D.C., and is a national charity auctioneer, member of the Grolier Club of New York, and a guest appraiser on PBS’ Antiques Roadshow.

For dinner, guests will be treated to a three-course meal at 7:30pm, followed by a performance by The George Howard Band until 11pm.

The menu of the night will features a salad of assorted greens with poached pears, pomegranate seeds, blueberries, bleu cheese, spiced pecans, and a port wine vinaigrette; a main course of beef bourguignon; and a dessert of tres leches, cube, prickly pear, and brittle.

All proceeds will go towards the Tucson Museum of Art. To make a reservation, tickets are $225 per person, with $100 being tax-deductible. Reserving a table of eight will cost $1,800 and tables of ten and twelve will also be available.

Guests can also purchase tickets for the auction, auction preview, and cocktail hour, without the dinner and dancing, for $50.

The CRUSH gala takes place Saturday, March 5 in the Grand Ballroom at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort.
