The Screamery, one of Tucson’s most popular ice cream shops, is preparing to open their second location at 2545 East Speedway Boulevard.

East Tucson residents have enjoyed ice cream from the original location on Houghton Road since 2014, but the new central location intends to make the unique, homemade flavors accessible for everyone.

Screamery founders Kenny and Linda Sarnoski were inspired to create their own ice cream when they started a new diet. With a fresh focus on natural, wholesome ingredients, the couple found that they couldn’t find any ice cream that fit this criteria. To satisfy their cravings, they decided to start experimenting.

The experiments continue today, resulting in traditional flavors like Chocolate and Pistachio, as well as more unusual combinations, such as:

  • Sweet Cream HoneyComb – Sweet cream ice cream with handmade honeycomb pieces
  • Wine n’ Scream – White chocolate ice cream with hand-made dark chocolate chunks and a cherry merlot swirl
  • Sonoran Chocolate – Chocolate ice cream with steeped chili flakes

24 hand-crafted flavors will be available at this location.

As Arizona’s first ice cream pasteurizers, The Screamery makes all of their ice cream in house with milk from grass-fed cows and 100% natural ingredients.

According to Facebook, the shop anticipates opening by April. The official Grand Opening date will be shared soon.
