Beginning Saturday, May 21 and extending through Sunday, May 22, is the Willcox Wine Festival, which Fodor’s recognized as one of “10 Can’t-Miss Fall Wine Festivals” in 2013. The festival will welcome 18 Arizona wineries, food from Dante’s Fire, and live music from four bands and performing artists.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Willcox, Arizona, an hour east of Tucson.
The Willcox Wine Festival welcomes the following wineries:
Bluegrass band Pick & Holler, Tom Petty tribute band Breakdown, singer-songwriter Jenny Jarnagin, and blues-rock duo Professor James & Dr. T will perform live music for the event.
The festival is priced at $20 on the day of the event, or $15 when purchased before May 20. Cost of entrance includes a commemorative wine glass and six tasting tickets. Additional tasting tickets can be purchased for four for $5.
Friendly dogs on leashes are welcome.
The festival will also feature a wine dinner on Saturday night, including gourmet food from Chef Ken Foy of Dante’s Fire and wines from Willcox winemakers.
Reception begins at 6 p.m., and dinner begins at 7 p.m.
Dinner tickets are $45 per person and benefit the Northern Cochise Community Hospital.
