Downtown Tucson’s Proper is hosting the fourth dinner in their “Beer vs. Wine” dinner series.

Pueblo Vida Brewing Company and Willcox’s Carlson Creek Vineyard will go toe to toe at 7 p.m., Monday, June 20 at the restaurant, located at 300 E. Congress Street.

The event features beer and wine pairings from each of the competitors which are then voted upon by attendees.

This fourth competition is the second to last dinner. The final dinner, which is currently TBA, will pit the highest voted wine against the highest rated brewery from the previous dinners.

Past competitors include 1055 Brewing, Chateau Tumbleweed, Iron John’s, Pillsbury, Dragoon Brewing, and Arizona Hops + Vines.

Pueblo Vida & Carlson Creek Beer Vs. Wine Dinner Menu at Proper

First Course

  • Roasted cauliflower & brown butter hummus — Emmer pita with green tomato croutons, Brillat Savarin brie

Second Course

  • Pan seared halibut — With red quinoa salad, heirloom tomatoes, avocado, cucumber, confit shallot, meyer lemon vinaigrette, field greens

Third Course

  • Cookies and Cream — Salted pecan cookies, evaporated milk gelato, dulce de leche

The event is priced at $40 per person. Reservations are required.
