After a year of preparation, Borderlands Brewing Company is releasing Citrana Wild Ale in pint cans for the first time next week.
“The beer has been tremendously popular since day one, and its fans have been asking us for cans that they can take camping or to the pool,” said Borderlands general manager Adam Ledford.
Citrana is a gose-style sour ale with a lemony profile with a subtle salt character, winning it the Best Specialty Beer award at the Born & Brewed Beer Cup.
“It’s a great introduction to easy-drinking sour beers,” said Landon Swanson, head brewer at Borderlands.
Several independent craft beer retailers around Tucson will host launch parties to celebrate the release.
Borderlands’ other local favorite, Noche Dulce Vanilla Porter, is already available in cans.
