Today through Sunday, or until they run out – whichever comes first – Time Market is offering their own twist on Nashville’s wildly popular hot chicken.
If you haven’t heard, the dish has been around for decades but only recently risen in popularity. For more on that story, check out the Bitter Southerner’s How Hot Chicken Really Happened. For another in depth story, check out NPR’s “How A Cheating Husband Gave Rise To Nashville’s Hot Chicken Craze.”
Time Market’s version is served with slaw, a slice of brioche, and sliced house pickles. In true Tucson fashion, the hot “rub” that the chicken is tossed in includes chiltepin.
It’s $10. Chances are it won’t last long.
