The folks at Tucson Symphony Orchestra are hosting the second annual Seat for a Vet program, which allows people to donate orchestra tickets to veterans and their families for the holiday season.

“Music has the power to heal and unite us as a community as we say ‘thank you’ to our veterans for their service,” Tucson Symphony Orchestra said on Facebook. “It is our desire that veterans feel the warmth and generosity of the Tucson community during the holidays.”

To launch the Seat for a Vet program, Tucson Symphony Orchestra is hosting a party with Flying Leap Vineyards, a veteran-owned business. The event will take place at the Flying Leap tasting room in St. Philip’s Plaza from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 6.

The launch party will feature wine and cheese pairings from Flying Leap Vineyards and local food vendors Fiore di Capra, Barrio Bread, and Alfonso Gourmet Olive Oil and Balsamics will also be present.

At 4 p.m., Tucson Symphony Orchestra will perform a Masterworks concert at Catalina Foothills High School Music Hall.

The launch party is priced at $50 per person. Tickets for the launch party, concert, and a Seat for a Vet are priced at $129 per person.
