Todd’s Restaurant at Ryan Field, 9700 W. Ajo Way, has closed after 13 years in business.

The restaurant’s Facebook page shared the following details:

“It’s official…
Todd’s Restaurant @ Ryan Field is CLOSED PERMANENTLY.
Manditory building repairs shut us down in Sept and Oct 2016, and we expected to re-open in November.
After banning us from opening in Nov, the Airport Authority decided not negotiate a new lease, and in Dec, asked us to vacate the building.
In the 17 years of business in the Tucson West Valley (13 at Ryan), we have celebrated and mourned, and made friends with so many people.
Thank you, to our awesome employees, guests, purveyors, local fire districts, churches, schools and law enforcement.
Thank you all!
You will be missed.
One door closes, so that another may open.
We can be reached through Facebook messaging.”

“We hadn’t anticipated the closure at the moment and are regrouping,” said Shari Scott, co-owner of Todd’s Restaurant. “We’ve had employees that worked for us for a decade.”

While Todd’s Restaurant doesn’t have any clear plans for a reopening, they’re doing what they can to keep in touch with their loyal community through means such as potentially bottling their signature prickly pear chipotle barbecue sauce.

Scott confirmed they will continue responding via the restaurant’s Facebook page for any inquiries regarding the restaurant or interest in ordering the sauce.

“We look forward to continuing being part of the community,” Scott said.
