Tavolino Ristorante Italiano is hosting a five-course dinner featuring the wines of La Spinetta on Wednesday, January 11.

La Spinetta started out focusing on creating exemplary Moscato, then eventually gained a reputation for red wines such as Sangiovese as well. In 2011, they acquired Italy’s oldest Metodo Classico sparkling wine producer, Contratto.

Seats are $150 per person plus tax and gratuity.

First Course
  • Bruschetta al Vasto – focaccia, goat cheese, dates, pistachio, prosciutto
  • Paired with: Contratto, Millesimato 2010, Extra Brut, Metodo Classico
Second Course
  • Croccatini di Parmigiano-Reggiano e Carciofo – Parmigiano-Reggiano crisp, artichoke over arugula
  • Paired with: Casanova della Spinetta, Vermentino, Toscana, 2015
Third Course
  • Coniglio con Risotto – local rabbit loin, mushroom risotto, juniper reduction
  • Paired with: La Spinetta, “Pin” Barbera/Nebbiolo, Piedmont, 2011
Fourth Course
  • Carpaccio di Cervo – venison carpaccio, micro greens, truffle oil
  • Paired with: La Spinetta, “Gallina” Barbera d’Alba, Piedmont, 2011
Fifth Course
  • Rib Eye di Manzo alla Griglia – bone-in rib eye (served family style), mashed celery root and potato, broccolini
  • Paired with: La Spinetta, “Starderi” Barbaresco, Piedmont, 2006
Dessert
