To provide support for young cancer patients, Prep & Pastry is hosting the annual benefit dinner for the Bald Beauties Project at 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 17.
On this rare occasion, Prep & Pastry will open during dinner hours to help empower young people who are fighting cancer.
The Bald Beauties Project was conceived and created by Tucsonan Kelsey Taylor Luria during her treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Kelsey lost her battle in 2016, but the Bald Beauties Project lives on.
From the Bald Beauties Project website:
“As Kelsey experienced firsthand, the opportunity to be professionally photographed was transformational. The ability to look, feel and be beautiful with baldness builds self-esteem and confidence. Accompanied by a make-up artist for those who want it, these photography sessions take place in various locations around Tucson. For those patients who can’t leave the hospital, the photographers will conduct the photo shoot at Diamond Children’s Hospital.”
For the dinner, look for bubbly and bellini during a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. Dinner begins at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $125 per person, and $75 of which is tax deductible.
A vegetarian option is also available upon request.
Don’t forget about the silent auction, too. You could go home with some really great items.
Prep & Pastry is located at 6450 E. Grant Rd. #160. For more information about the Bald Beauties Project and for reservations to the dinner, call (520) 838-0809, or visit baldbeautiesproject.org.
