Growing up isn’t bad at all when it involves more beer.

Dragoon Brewing Company is giving you a behind the scenes look at their newly designed brewhouse at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 16.

Dragoon just finished expanding its brewing capacity by installing a new three-vessel, 30-barrel brewhouse.

In other words, the expansion has increased Dragoon’s brewing dimensions from 7,500 barrels to about 20,000 barrels. That’s a big gulp.

This also means the year-round beers, like Dragoon IPA, Stronghold Session Ale, and Santa Cruz’R Golden Ale, can be brewed in larger batches, and it gives more opportunity to brew specialty beers throughout the year.

Head Brewer Eric Greene says, “Our new brewhouse will not only allow us to make a whole lot more beer, but it features automation controls and heat exchange technology to help improve beer quality, consistency and efficiency.”

The behind the scenes tour will be offered to the public at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, but it’s on a first come first serve basis.
