
The Drunken Chicken has been voted “Best Fried Chicken” and “Best Chicken and Waffles” by the Arizona Daily Star, but there’s much more going on inside the restaurant on 4th Ave. An all scratch-kitchen, for starters, is one of those things.
A prime example of the originality on the menu are “The Balls” and its deep-fried combination of pepper jack cheese, jalapeño, mashed potato, bacon, and panko. From the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich that’s served on a hoagie roll, to the gooey Bacon and Jalepeño Mac that’s spilling over the edge of the bowl, everything’s made from scratch with local ingredients.
Plus, as long as it’s before midnight, you can order anything off the menu and have it brought over to Mr. Heads Art Gallery & Bar while you’re having a drink.
