Head to Welcome Diner on Broadway for brunch… with a friend.

The Three Sisters Burrito, a must-try brunch menu item, is nothing short of monstrous.

The vegan dish is stuffed with tempura-battered squash, local Tepary beans, roasted corn, and smoked pecan “cheese” in a tortilla far too big for one person to manage – hence the friend.

But wait, there’s more… the gargantuan burro meal is then smothered in ranchero sauce and topped with a healthy serving of guac and pico de gallo.

Most of the filling comprises of delightfully creamy Tepary beans with the odd corn jewel and crunchy cube of squash. The fresh guac and pico de gallo topping brings a freshness to the heavy dish — mmm, indeed.

Staff claims the dish as a favorite. I’ve heard good things about the Biscuits and Gravy and the Guac Toast as well, but you won’t have room to think on any of these. You’ll be too busy unbuttoning your jeans after the tasty meal, pondering how to squeeze back out the door.

Welcome Diner is located at 902 E. Broadway Blvd. For more information, visit welcomediner.net/broadway.
