DOWNTOWN Kitchen + Cocktails continues its “Around the Globe: Sisters Cities of Gastronomy” tour with a special Burgos, Spain menu from Tuesday, August 20 to Monday, September 30.

Burgos was named a UNESCO City of Gastronomy in 2015. In 2013, Spain named it the Spanish Gastronomy Capital. The city features exceptional charcuterie, roasted meats, fish dishes, and its own superstar cheese, Queso de Burgos.

Melon + Cucumber Gazpacho ($10) – pickled cherries, queso blanco, Serrano ham, croutons

Tapas Burgos ($12) – Serrano ham bruschetta with tomato jam, manchego; Vanessa Moon sobrasada with quail egg, chive; boquerones, olivada, basil

Cheese Board ($13) – house-made queso blanco, manchego, Murcia al vino, quince, toasted almonds, dried apricots, honeycomb

Grilled Lamb Chops ($26) – Castilian braised potatoes, verdolagas, pickled onion + pickled peaches

Pan-Seared Cod ($30) – light broth of tomato, fresh chickpeas, red beans, piquillo peppers, salsa verde

Olla Podrida Reconstructed ($25) – grilled pork tenderloin, spicy shredded ham hocks, chorizo chipolatas, crispy pig ears, chickpea flour fries, lemon aioli, parsley gel, piquillo puree

Orange, Rosemary, Olive Oil Cake – almond-dried cherry ice cream, mint syrup

Honey-Mascarpone Ice Cream + Almond Chiffon Cake – fig jam, balsamic whipped cream

Cooking Demo & Multi-Course Dinner

The Carriage House will also host a companion cooking demonstration class and dinner by Wilder on Friday, August 23 from 6 – 9 p.m.

Seats are $70 per person and you’ll get a copy of all of the recipes and a multi-course dinner with drinks.
