Beer mugs at the ready, it's that time again.

Hotel Congress is hosting the eighth annual Born & Brewed local beer battle on Saturday, September 14. And you stand the chance to win two VIP tickets to the event.

What’s in it for me?

Well, there’s a lavish dinner (with a beer pairing), a vessel for beer, and a local beer tasting event to enjoy… if you win. 😉

Cup Cafe at Hotel Congress is serving up a four-course meal for you and a plus one. The dinner takes place at 5 p.m. at Copper Hall — come hungry.

In addition to a charcuterie board station, the VIP menu features seasonal bisque, arugula salad, spiced Cornish game hen, and crullers with cocoa nib glaze. The courses will be paired with brews from Dragoon Brewing Company.

If you want to start drooling, check out the menu and further event details here.

The beer though

15 local breweries are here to battle it out for Tucson’s Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice titles. There’ll be flowing mugs o’ ale for you to taste and taste again.

The beer battle takes place after the dinner from 7 – 10 p.m. and VIP ticket holders leave with a commemorative tasting cup. Cheers to that!
