The bean taco is really just a happy bonus.

When’s the last time you made your quesadilla with a tortilla that you also made from scratch? And added some of the best mesquite-grilled carne asada in town? Oh, and did you also make a bean taco while you were at it? Do you also have a salsa bar that includes three different types of chili oil? And did it all cost you less than $8?

If your answer was yes to any of these questions, then congratulations. If you’re not a liar, then just go and get the carne asada quesadilla ($6.25) from The Quesadillas. While quesadillas are easy enough to make at home, this restaurant takes extra care in every individual component.

The result is likely some of the best quesadillas you’ll ever taste in your life. It doesn’t compare to trying white truffles or otoro for the first time, but you’ll easily taste the love upfront. And sometimes that’s just what you really want.

Bonus: each quesadilla comes with a bean taco. Why? Don’t know. But I’m not complaining.
